Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3)

Distribution and abundance : Localised mainly to the Sandlings

Habitats : Heathland, woodland, scrub and gardens

Flight Period : Double-brooded; late April to mid-May and mid-July to mid-August

Larval foodplants : On a wide variety of plants but particularly heathers (Erica and Calluna), Bog-myrtle (Myrica), bilberries (Vaccinium) or coniferous trees

Morley's Final Catalogue : Extremely local on heaths with us. Found to be common at Tuddenham in July (Wrn).

Wingspan details : Wingspan 12-16mm
