People are welcome to attend most events organised by the SMG
myself, although it useful to let us know if you are thinking
along as numbers are restricted at some meetings. We encourage
to come along to meetings, it is a good way to share
and socialise. Moth trapping somewhere in the middle of the
when it's dark
is more enjoyable when there are a few others around.
The Suffolk Moth Group holds moth nights every Friday or Saturday night
to September, with additional meetings during the day or at
of the year.
indoor meeting - Bucklesham Village Hall - Saturday 1st March 2014 -
Doors will open at 1.30pm and the meeting will
start at 2.00pm. Some of the group will be meeting in the pub
meal and drink from 12.00pm onwards. The meeting will finish by 4.45pm at the latest.
entertainment is entirely dependent on members bringing along
interest or being prepared to give a short/long talk. I will be
bringing a digital projector for those with digital
images. If anyone would like to show slides I can provide a
projector if they let me know beforehand. Tables will also be
for those with exhibits. It would be useful if you are intending
giving a presentation to let me know. If you are using a PowerPoint presentation then please save it in Office 97 or OpenOffice format. Refreshments will be provided.
Bucklesham Village Hall is not far from the Nacton A12/A14
to the east of Ipswich. From the A12/A14 roundabout take the
after the A12 exit but before the A14 Felixstowe exit. This exit
signposted to Bucklesham and leads via a single track road to
Bucklesham Village. At the end of this road you will reach the
at the T junction turn right into Bucklesham Road. Take the next
turn into Levington Lane and the village hall is a short
the lane on the right.
A map of the location can be viewed by following this link
The OS Grid Reference for the hall is TM242417. If you need any
detailed instructions in how to get there then do get in contact
